Fije plek om te verblijven. Very nice place to stay
In maart hebben we hier 6 nachten gelogeerd. In de ochtend een ontbijtje geserveerd met een grote glimlach door Mady. Mathilde zorgt desgewenst voor een heerlijk diner. De kamers ruim en netjes. Heb je bv nog een handdoek nodig is dit geen probleem. Vlakbij het strand en een leuke strandtent. In het dorpje ook mogelijkheden om te gaan eten en iets te drinken. Senegal ist eine Reise wert
Das Hotel wird sehr familiär geführt. Wir wurden herzlich aufgenommen und fühlten uns durch die nette und aufmerksame Betreuung von Karim - trotz fehlender Sprachkenntnisse, sehr wohl.Die Appartements sind geräumig und sauber. Das Bad ist renovierungsbedürftig, aber es gab immer warmes Wasser.Es gab eine sehr schöne Terasse mit Hängematten zum relaxen und morgens zum Frühstücken.Sollte ich noch einmal nach Warang kommen werde ich auf jeden Fall wieder imLe Kenkeni absteigen.Danke für den schönen Aufenthalt - Waltraud und Martina

Warrang, ma belle ou est tu ?
On ne voyage pas au Senegal comme à Manhattan. C'est avant tout une plongée en Afrique. Laissez vous envahir par des sensations qui vous claquent à la gueule. Et cela au son effrénés des rythmes qui vous ramènent à la base de la vie. Prenez votre temps et ne soyez surtout pas pressé. J'ai eu( pris ) cette chance de loger avec ma famille plusieurs semaines( mois )  au Kenkeni, notre base et bien nous en a pris. Au coeur du village de Warrang, le long de la côte atlantique (et à 3 foulées du kenkeni ), le kenkeni est une halte de toute confiance et vous serez entouré d'une équipe qui se pliera en 4 pour vous. Son patio sur le toit est un havre de paix, couché dans un hamac, une bière à la main, un livre dans l'autre. J'ai pleuré mon départ . A comfortable, cosy residence making you feel at home in Senegal straight away
Le Kenkeni is a wonderful residence which makes you feel secure and comfortable in Senegal as soon as you arrive. The rooms are clean, well equipped and spacious. Running water and reliable electricity are enough of a luxury given the conditions in parts of the surrounding village, but the TV and DVD player were a real added extra (not used by us incidentally!) The true highlight of the hotel is the wonderful rooftop terrace, with it's stunning view of the nearby sea and the surrounding village. The hammocks and restaurant area instantly put you into relaxed holiday mode and you know that you're not going to want to leave at the end of the trip. The meal output from the rooftop kitchen is incredible and the friendly and accommodating staff are always on hand to deal with any request. The food is all locally sourced and it is varied and delicious while also being very plentiful. The groups of teenagers we were with enjoyed everything they were given, often asking for more, and that is not easy to achieve. The location of the residence is excellent, less than 5 minutes walk from the beach and the local village is easy to reach. The hotel is also very well connected and able to organise a wide variety of visits and activities in the local area. Séjour au Kenkeni
J'étais au Kenkeni en Février avec plusieurs amis, nous y avons passé 6 jours très agréables. Le personnel est très sympathique et attentif aux besoins, la cuisine est très bonne et les portions généreuses. A true gem of a residence...
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Le Kenkeni as part of a group who had travelled to Senegal to assist with a charity project. As it was my first time in Senegal I was apprehensive to say the least but upon arrival at the final destination all of my nervousness disappeared. A small and discreet building tucked away from the main highway Le Kenkeni will give you the piece of mind you may be looking for when staying in Warang and the friendly staff make you feel like part of the close family that operate this establishment.The building is split into two separate blocks with a central staircase offering access to a first floor and a gorgeous rooftop terrace with views to the sea. The ground floor is comprised of two 3 bed lodgings, communal shower and toilet, a kitchen and a large studio apartment with traditional artwork and furniture, TV, DVD (not that you will need this in your time in Senegal). Contained within the apartment is a large bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. The large bed is covered with a mosquito net and all windows are barred and covered with netting also.The layout is symmetrical on the other side of the building and the first floor also follows a similar pattern with internal lockable doors for the added security. Rooms are clean and offer generous opportunities to power any electrical devices you may have. The hotel also offers WiFi access to its guests at no extra cost.As previously mentioned the staff welcome you into their family and whether it is the culinary delights of Antoine in the rooftop kitchen shack, the smiling Mathilde who waits on you attentively, Edwij and her helpful hints to the area or Wali and his transport help you will have a fabulous time staying at he Kenkeni. Sophie, the owner will ensure you get the most of your stay here and any trips, excursions and outings you require will be arranged with the expert advice of the staff. Be sure to maximise the rooftop terrace hammocks as you watch the sunset in the evening over the ocean, listening to the drums and tribals singing in the local village.
